School Planner works in any browser, but installing it on your phone gives you a one-tap icon and lets task reminders appear as regular phone notifications.
On Android (Chrome):
- Open School Planner in Chrome and sign in.
- When the Install School Planner button appears, tap it, then confirm Install.
- If you don't see the button, open Chrome's ⋮ menu and choose Add to Home screen → Install.
On iPhone or iPad (Safari):
Apple doesn't offer an install button, so it's done through the Share menu:
- Open School Planner in Safari and sign in.
- Tap the Share button (the square with an arrow pointing up, at the bottom of the screen).
- Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then tap Add.
The School Planner icon now sits on your home screen like any other app.
Two tips:
- Notifications also need to be turned on in your notification settings — installing alone doesn't switch them on.
- If you got a School Planner link by email, it may have opened in your mail app's built-in browser. Open it in Chrome or Safari first, or the install options won't appear.
